Description

Resin cast representing the outfit worn by Bonaparte during the Battle of Marengo (June 14, 1800). Then First Consul, the future emperor won the victory in the Piedmont plains against the Austrians under Field Marshal von Melas. This is the uniform of a general of division, model 1798. Bonaparte also wore it in Egypt and during the passage of the Great Saint Bernard pass. The original is on display at the Army Museum.
