Linocutting is one of the techniques of printmaking, in which a linoleum plate is carved with gouges. The engraving spares the motif and hollows out the blanks. The print is reversed in relation to the engraved motif, like a stamp. Each print is unique, with differences in inking that highlight or soften certain details. A linocut takes 5 to 7 days to dry. The more colours there are, the more prints there are and therefore the more drying time. The frames are handmade. We wish to remain 100% handmade and eco-responsible (our shipping boxes are 100% recycled).
