An artistic 20th century (VF)

After having published in 2010 a reference book on Art Deco, José Alvarez proposes an artistic XXth century. Not seeking exhaustiveness, of course, he endeavors to highlight the major artistic movements of the century, but also what he has personally retained in the most diverse areas ranging from philosophy to literature, through the cinema ... in texts that are more bursts of personal insights, than criticism or analysis.
A large majority of readers will easily recognize themselves in this 20th century with a very singular tone, but whose choice of subjects as well as the photographs that illustrate them, belong to the collective memory.
