Description
Engraver, painter, poet, weaver in his spare time and prolific publisher, so many labels used to describe the activity of Lucien Jacques (1891-1961). If this fervent pacifist is often evoked as the discoverer of Jean Giono, whose texts he published from the 1920s onwards, few publications take into account the multidisciplinarity and density of the production of this lover of letters. Echoing the monographic exhibition devoted to Lucien Jacques at the museum Regards de Provence from October 29, 2019 to February 17, 2020 (concomitant of the exhibition "Giono", presented at the Mucem), this work unfolds the multiple facets of a man whose presence, during this rich century in the history of creation, is undeniable.Product information
