Gio Ponti, a defender of industrial design and a great craftsman, loved to visit Salerno and the old Ceramica D'Agostino in the late 50's and early 70's. Here he studies the renewal of the language of ceramics and , emphasizing the territorial context through the colors and geometric and naturalistic features, he designed the famous majolica "Blu Ponti".
