By working on the outlines and colors of his photographs, Philippe Matine sublimes the atmosphere of the places he shoots with a digital technique. He freezes them in time, in history in order to tell a story.
For each view he adds a sentence, put in the air, like seized in the intimacy of the situation. He introduces a contrast between private and public place, and recalls us that each wall, each monument evolve and live human beings, where each day dramas take place. These works borrow to comic strips their humoristic universe, their hindsight and their universal language.
