Description
One day, the artist Henri Matisse cut out a bird from a sheet of white paper. It was a very simple shape, but he liked it. So he hung it on the wall of his apartment to hide a stain.Matisse chose, at the end of his life, to gradually swap brushes for scissors to "sculpt color" in his cut paper compositions. This poetic and bewitching album takes us, simply, through this creative phase as intense as it is prolific.
