A decoration inspired by nature The upper part of the teapot is decorated with the Nami pattern, one of the many representations of the wave in Japanese culture. Each Iwachu teapot is made through a handcrafted process of over 60 steps, including: - The inner and outer molds are made by hand. - Liquid iron is poured into the mold. - When it is cold, the mold is broken to extract the teapot. - All edges are filed down. - The inner part is glazed. - The outer surface is painted. - Once the paint is dry, the teapot is carefully packed.
