Description

In contemporary Warlpiri paintings, traditional iconography is used to represent "Jukurrpa" (the dream). Short dashes are often used to represent "mangkurdu" (cumulus and stratocumulus). Longer, flowing lines represent the "ngawarra" (flood waters). Small circles are used to represent the "mulju" (spills) and the riverbed on the LOQI recycled weekender. KIRSTEN NANGALA EGAN © Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation, 2022. Producing Aboriginal art, promoting Indigenous culture and supporting the isolated community of Yuendumu since 1985.
