Description

An invaluable testimony to the deportation and holocaust of the Roma during the Second World War, the work of Ceija Stojka (1933-2013) is presented for the first time in its dual dimension of graphic and poetic work. In this book, the reverse side of her works, where she describes and testifies through writing, is presented on an equal footing with her drawings and paintings. Ceija Stojka's particular language, expressive and almost phonetic, is transcribed into German and translated into English.

Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at the Malmö Konsthall in 2021.
