Description
This book is a step in a research project undertaken since the end of the 1990s. Backed up by research into urban cultures, these pages open a few windows on the history of Graffiti in Europe, a partial history, and on some of the key figures of what was, in its early days, an amusement, a pied-de-nez, an underground way of life. Over the years, it has undergone a number of transformations, partly escaping from its bases, while living on through its enthusiasts. The research has enabled a collection to be built up for the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations. For the first time, part of this collection was exhibited at the Lieu Unique in Nantes from 5 November 2011 to 8 January 2012.
