Description

India, 1921. Still haunted by the war, Sam Wyndham tries to curb his opium addiction and hide it from his superiors. Not an easy task, especially when a police raid on an opium den forces him to flee in the middle of the night. Even less so when a corpse with terrifying injuries lies in his path. And when a similarly mutilated body is discovered, he realises that a maniac is prowling the streets of Calcutta. With the help of his friend and colleague Sat Banerjee, Sam must solve the murders, protect his secret and, on the Governor's express orders, prepare for the official visit of the Prince of Wales, while Gandhi's followers threaten to overthrow the Empire...
