Description

Handmade earrings inspired by ancient Amerindian civilizations These earrings represent Pakal, ancient Mayan king of the city of Palenque. He was an important figure in the development of the city. On his death, his sarcophagus was meticulously carved. Some of the motifs are reminiscent of an astronaut aboard a rocket. These jewels are made of copper, silver and gold threads interwoven to embroider unique pieces. The filigree technique was practiced by the Egyptians, Etruscans and Greeks, representing the ancient art of jewelry-making.
