Description
A conversation between Yvon Lambert and Marie-Charlotte Calafat takes place in five different locations. It begins in the reserves of the Mucem, at the heart of Provençal memory, a common thread between the objects collected in the region by the Musée des Arts et traditions populaires and the collector's childhood in Vence. The discussion then moves on to Yvon Lambert's home, where we look at his personal and intimate relationships with artists, questioning the notion of the masterpiece and the major gift that Yvon Lambert made to the State. We then take a walk through the streets of Avignon, where the Collection Lambert is housed in the Hôtel de Caumont and the Hôtel de Montfaucon. This stroll is an opportunity to explore the creative processes that take place in public spaces and in scenography. In the Lambert bookshop in Paris, the exhibition then turns to the folk tale, literature as a source of inspiration, and how to write about art. Finally, the exhibition at the Mucem is the ideal setting for a discussion of spirituality, death and portraiture.
With contributions from Stéphane Ibars, Ryoko Sekiguchi (poems) and David Quéré.
And with, in order of appearance Daniel Dezeuze, Jean Charles Blais, Yves Rousguisto, Andres Serrano, Eve Lambert, Robert Combas, Daniel Buren and Niele Toroni.
