Description

This issue of Gradhiva deals with the complex relationship between creation and fiction. It aims to illuminate the creative process by questioning the diversity of the modalities by which the creators consider it for themselves and its mise en abyme by other artists, visual artists, writers or filmmakers. The articles in this issue explore how creation and fiction interweave: by inclusion when the work itself exposes the fiction of its own creation (Francis Ponge in La Fabrique du Pré) by overflow when creative process and work become inseparable from a form of life (Marcel Proust or Pier Paolo Pasolini) without forgetting by intromission of power (such as the appearance in the seventeenth century, new figures of poets, children or artisans praising the greatness of the sovereign). We also discover how creation and fiction reverberate: in the staging of the artist at work (The mystery Picasso Henri-Georges Clouzot); in the restitution of a creative passion in the cinema (Martin Provost's Seraphine); through dialogue, on the creation of a particular work (Philippe Dagen's novels about artists) or through the literary exploration of plastic works (Pierre Michon). This volume offers a range of studies that engage the anthropology of creative processes on new paths.
