Description

Conté à Paris sketching pencils guarantee the widest possible variety of techniques and effects for drawing. Used by the greatest masters, as well as amateur artists, beginners and professionals in the fine arts, they are a benchmark in the field. Versatile, these sketching pencils are suitable for a wide variety of lines and gradations designed for studies. This set contains the essentials for sketching: 1 Black Stone Pencil 2B, 2 Graphite Pencils 2B, 1 White Pencil, 1 Red Chalk and 1 Sepia.

The grades range from H (Hard) for hardness to B (Bold) for softness. The higher the number, the harder or softer the pencil.

Black Stone Pencils can produce all shades of black; they are intense, indelible and matt.

The colour of the Conté à Paris Sepia pencil is reminiscent of burnt umber. It is a dry pencil that blends easily.

The colour of Conté à Paris Sanguine pencils is unique. With a sharpened lead, the line is precise and the colour is transparent if the work is lightly sketched. With a half-worn lead, the opacity increases, depending also on the pressure exerted.

The Conté à Paris White pencil is mainly used with a sharpened lead, the line is dry and the colour transparent.

The graphite pencil has a particularly smooth lead that does not scratch the paper and glides smoothly over the surface. The modern graphite lead, composed of a mixture of clay and graphite, makes it possible to grade the hardness of the lead.
