Description

"Traces. Fragments of a contemporary Tunisia" is an exhibition in two parts proposed by the MuCEM (Marseille). Through the visual arts (photography, video, digital art, installation.), it echoes the views that found a new relationship to Tunisia, five years after the revolution. "Traces. Traces" is based on the search for what remains of a history, memories or landscapes abolished, and defends itself from any temptation to make a clean sweep. It reveals a rich, varied and intense contemporary Tunisian art scene, which is not afraid to tell the story and social or political realities of the country. The plastic approaches rub shoulders with documentary approaches.
