In harmony with the freedom and whimsy of this exhibition-show, the catalog takes the form of an object-book full of surprises: our journey as readers transitions, through changes in paper formats, from one universe to another, while Macha Makeïeff's imagination constantly weaves itself into the dialogue between objects and artworks. However, the scientific dimension is not overlooked, as five essays on often unexplored topics enrich this sensory experience. These essays are authored by Pascal Jacob and Marika Maymard, the foremost French specialists in the history of the circus; Sébastien Delmer, a philosopher captivated by questions of courage and flair; Frédéric Saumade, an expert in animal rituals; and Stéphane Goudet, a historian of cinema.

The world of performing arts also takes the stage through various contributions curated by Macha Makeïeff, offering carte blanche to a comedian, a director, or a lighting artist.
