Description
La valse represents a couple of dancers at the edge of the breaking point of the balance, as taken in a whirlwind. In a first version, Camille Claudel represents his dancers, naked, but their sensualism is considered little acceptable and the artist dresses his characters in a chaster drapery, so that the state can acquire the artwork.
La valse is considered as most personal work of the Camille Claudel's . This expressionistic and autobiographical sculpture updates what it is deeper in love.
