Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso
Pablo Ruiz y Picasso was born in Malaga on October 25, 1881. His father, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona, gave him his first artistic education. In 1903, Picasso moved to Paris: immediately, he felt the distance that separated him from the Fauvists, then in vogue, from their flat figuration and their bright colors. Like Toulouse-Lautrec, he chose his subjects from the world of the theater, the circus, and the poor people, rendering them with a precise line and a unique coloring: this was the "blue period" and, after 1905, the "pink period".
