STUDIO DESIGN ARTEUM

For the past 15 years, Arteum has been revolutionising museum shops by offering personalised, exclusive products in harmony with each cultural institution. Thanks to its Arteum Design Studio, the team anticipates trends to create original collections. The Arteum Studio produces around thirty exclusive collections a year, representing 1,000 coherent original creations. Recent examples include an embroidered Schiaparelli tote bag for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Bollywood pyjamas and an embroidered Au Fil de L'Or Kimono for the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac, and home accessories inspired by the Fashion Folklore exhibition at the Mucem. Arteum's bold collections include ‘Rouge Velours’ for the Opéra de Paris, ‘Vanité’ for the Catacombs, and ‘Signature’ for the Eiffel Tower. Exclusive collaborations include silkscreen prints by Vahram Muratyan and objects inspired by Agnès Thurnauer's correspondence with Matisse. Arteum also works with prestigious brands to reinvent iconic designs, such as Lee Cooper's re-edition of Serge Gainsbourg's jeans. It innovates with modern products using reused materials: bottles made from recycled glass, cups made from citrus peel, lamps printed with shells, textiles made in Europe. Arteum favours French and European suppliers, promoting local and international craftsmanship according to the needs of museums.
