Sarah Levy

Sarah Levy materializes our contemporary habits in the form of accessories. Showing our attachment - sometimes pathological - to everyday objects, the Belgian designer turns our daily life with humor and poetry. She offers pieces that are so many voluntarily hybrid “solutions” making the body oscillate between increased capacity and incapacity, between freedom and encumbrance. With her first collection "Creatures of Habit", Sarah won the Artagon Prize in 2018, and at the Hyères Fashion Festival 2019, the Public and City Prize. The same year, she was nominated for the Belgian Fashion Awards, category “Emerging Talent”. Building on this recognition, Sarah is launching her eponymous accessories brand in 2020. By following an experimental approach to the accessory, she calls on the techniques of leather goods, gloves and jewelry to offer strong and embodied pieces. . From this unconventional design, the 38-year-old designer does not exclude the eco-responsible dimension either, by working in particular with the house of Delvaux, which supplies her with its end of stock of leather. While pursuing her personal projects, Sarah works as a freelance accessory designer for young French brands such as Marine Serre, Alphonse Maitrepierre and Ester Manas. More details
